Our Values & Goals...
A PERSONALIZED, COMPREHENSIVE APPROACH:
We recognize that mental illness can be a complicated matter of mind, body, and spirit. Each person’s exposure to distinct traumas, environmental triggers, and physical health factors can contribute to emotional distress. Thus, each person’s healing process is unique, and each modality of support can serve as a piece of the puzzle. Synergizing our network of resources, we will empower people get to the root of their struggles and find the solutions they need.
ADVOCACY AND COMMUNITY:
As advocates, we raise awareness about mental health and how to lovingly and aptly support all parties impacted. We aim to build an empowered community that joins us in our goals of destigmatizing mental illness, promoting holistic care, preventing suicide, and bringing hope to those who struggle.
TEAMWORK AND ACCESSIBILITY:
We understand that the road to recovery takes time, money, and a support team. As advocates, we foster teamwork between individuals and their families, support networks, and wellness providers. When the cost of care is prohibitive, we will work to alleviate financial strain through cost assistance initiatives.
CULTIVATION OF PURPOSE:
In tandem with tending to physical and mental well-being, we believe that finding true purpose is crucial to cultivating one’s own life of joy. We aspire to help people discover and develop their unique purposes, goals, passions, and talents.
INCLUSIVE CULTURE:
Although our work is founded on Christian principles, we respect everyone’s beliefs and aim to serve people of all faiths and backgrounds.
CORE TOOLS:
We believe in the power of prayer, music, and thanksgiving. We will employ all three throughout our work, and along each person’s journey to recovery.
A LIFE OF JOY:
To Life of Joy Foundation, living a life of joy is not about forcing will-power or feigned happiness. It’s reaching a true inner peace that withstands life’s challenges, and a sustainable level of wellness in mind, body and spirit. It means a release of strongholds and blockages, and the ability to recognize and receive the grace, blessings, and love that abound. Living a life of joy is about walking with divine purpose in sustaining joy, freedom, and faith in the power of God’s love.
