Developed by the National Council for Mental Wellbeing, Youth Mental Health First Aid teaches how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illness and substance use disorders in youth. This 6.5-hour training gives adults who work with youth the skills they need to reach out and provide initial support to children and adolescents (ages 6-18) who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem, and help connect them to the appropriate care.

Thanks to the growing support of our community partners and donors, we're pleased to offer this training to our community at a lower cost than what many organizations charge. COST is $65/person and includes:

  • Participant Manual & Materials

  • Nationally Accredited Certification (good for 3 years)

  • Panera Lunch (sponsored by LOJF Community Partner, New Life Addictions Counseling)

Instructed by Youth Mental Health First Aid Trainers: Lauren Jenkins, LGPC and Letitia McMillion

REGISTER by Friday 8/13. Payment is due upon registration.
